6 Principles in Evertree’s Founding Vision

Welcome To Evertree!

 

I was blessed with an amazing opportunity to start Evertree in 2022 with a mission-vested equity partner, Integrum Holdings. Our initial thesis sought to directly address the critical broken pieces within the $350BN Property and Casualty space.

 

After witnessing firsthand industry challenges as the President of Winged Keel for over a decade, I was inspired to change and develop the thesis with Integrum that sought to address poorly integrated technology, a massive generational gap of brokers, and a fragmented industry of producers that spend more of their time of administrative efforts than on what they love (and are good at!) doing - selling and building client connections.

 

On the surface these challenges seem un-addressable, but with Integrum, I spent 12 months building a plan that addresses these challenges in a way that will fundamentally reshape the industry. In hindsight many of the solutions were easy to come up with, the hard part is the execution and creating a purposeful culture that drives results and strengthens the business proposition every day.

 

1.   Humans leveraging tech to cultivate relationships: We are purposefully equipping the human advisor with the most advanced technology so they can spend more time building relationships. A relationship between advisor and client is a critical connection that needs to be both embraced and nurtured. Our tech goal is to enable producers to spend more time with their clients and cultivate better business interactions. Our initial dual-track growth strategy is geared at simultaneously acquiring and integrating independent agencies across the country while we build our tech platform. With our producers leveraging technology, our services will allow them to focus on growth and we will create a model that will reach broadly into all communities.

 

2.   Underpinning values: We are not reinventing the wheel. However, we are reimagining how the wheel turns and where it can take us. And we are being intentional at every turn to ensure Evertree is “built to last.” By keeping humans as core to our tech build, we are expanding our ability to impact people with greater service. We approach the insurance process with independence, intellect, and integrity. We communicate from a trustworthy place of empathy and expertise. Our desire to give the client the right insurance at the right price means we are transparent, sincere, and forthcoming.

 

3.     Getting culture right: I see workplace culture as the most pivotal part of any company. I have experienced great cultures. I have experienced horrible and toxic cultures as well. To start a company from scratch is an opportunity to take those learnings and help build a diverse, positive, and supportive culture that will stand the test of time. I am grateful every day to have this opportunity and as I seek to build our initial leadership team, and with each acquisition, I am unfolding a strategy whereby we attract the brightest and most diverse talent in the industry to join in our effort to build a company that directly addresses the largest industry challenges.

 

4.   Harness the Individual for the team: Most of our employees joined the company for a new professional opportunity. It is my mission to create an opportunity for every one of our employees to thrive both personally and professionally. To accomplish this, we must acknowledge and appreciate that every one of us comes from a different background with different strengths and weaknesses. Through Evertree, we have found one another and are now one team — exponentially more powerful together than as any single individual. We are on the lookout for each other. We listen, ask questions, and mentor one another so we can all recognize and realize our fullest potential and harness each other’s strengths to shine the brightest.

 

5.   Embrace demographics: Anchored by intentionality, we believe diversity to be one of our greatest assets. Purposefully seeking to train and develop a new generation of producers from varied outlooks and backgrounds, we make sure that we communicate with adaptability that translates to various backgrounds. Evertree is a single community that makes up many. We desire to expand representation for all, so our approach is inclusive, agile, and authentic. We rely on our strong ethos to provide comfort, rest, and peace of mind for our clients and our team. Our team will fit hand in glove with the composition of America. It is the right thing to do both for business and for society.

 

6.   Tackle underserved communities: At Evertree, we call ourselves “Pathfinders” - doing something different together and walking in uncharted directions. The insurance industry is ready for a new wave, a generation that has yet to embrace the viability of a service-driven, commodity-based industry as a necessary means of survival. We are on a path to broaden the accessibility of insurance across all languages and communities. It is attracting individuals that can help drive social impact, and let it ride on the coattails of a quickly expanding company. Every community has its own challenges, and by having a presence across the United States we can help address targeted causes on both a local and national level.

 

Our future is exceptionally bright! Going forward, we will employ hundreds of employees and be tasked with the incredible responsibility of protecting thousands, if not millions, of clients. To succeed, we must build and protect that invisible, delicate layer that wraps around a company often referred to as “culture.” It is the culture that will attract the type of people we want to have on our team and will promote the behaviors we want in our workplace.
